Sandra’s practice is dedicated exclusively to the practice of family law, including marital dissolutions, legal separations, and annulments, with extensive experience in preparing and negotiating cohabitation agreements, premarital agreements, and postnuptial agreements. Sandra also enjoys participating in mediated cases, either as a consultant for one mediation client or as the neutral mediator for couples seeking a negotiated resolution of their family law matter.
Sandra works collaboratively with her clients to achieve their goals, whether as a consultant, mediator, or as part of a litigation team. She takes the time to gather the pertinent facts and to truly understand her clients’ worldview so that she can tailor her work to meet their needs. Clients appreciate Sandra’s responsiveness, calm demeanor and thoughtful, strategic approach.
Sandra joined LSM after eighteen years with one of the preeminent family law litigation law firms, where she was a partner for the last decade. During that time, Sandra successfully handled cases involving complex, high net worth estates and high-profile clients, many of which involved cross-over legal issues such as business disputes with third parties, tax issues, offshore compliance issues, white collar criminal issues, a range of federal and state regulatory issues, and bankruptcy.
Prior to working in family law, Sandra practiced corporate and real estate law at a multinational law firm headquartered in Los Angeles. She has leveraged her experience in those areas to assist business owners and entrepreneurs in their own family law matters.
Sandra is certified as a specialist in family law by the State Bar of California. She has written for the Daily Journal and lectured on family law topics for the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Sandra has provided pro bono legal assistance to clients of the nonprofit Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law, earning the title, ‘Pro Bono Volunteer of the Year’ in 2020. Sandra has extensive training in alternative dispute resolution from several providers, including the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Law School. Sandra repeatedly has been ranked in Chambers’ High Net Worth Guide.
In her free time, Sandra enjoys travel, the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her husband, two children, and their dog Buddy.
